We had a lovely time here on your mountain. The place is wonderful - well-stocked, clean and very well set up. It is nice to have the big TV and DVD player. We brought and almost made it through the 1st Season of The West Wing. The hot tub was a pleasure - only missed one day due to rain. We did a daily hike down to the mountain lake with the dogs, and one day on Skyline Drive where we saw white-tail deer and hawks. Saw hawks here at the cabin too. Spent a little time in Front Royal - nice lunch at J's Gourmet on South Royal Avenue (across from the bookstore) where there is also a local wine shop, upstairs a tiny restaurant that looked interesting call Apt. 26. We'd have tried it if we had more time. Our "highlight" was a trip to The Inn at Little Washington. We'd talked about it before coming and spent Christmas Eve having one of the best meals we've ever eaten. Thanks Tom and Deneane. We'll be back!!!

What a wonderful time we had at HTH #2! The chalet was lovely! It was exactly what we were looking for - a peaceful retreat. A small group of deer - 2 bucks, 2 does - wandered past on Sat. AM. We thought they were beautiful, but I think Chloe thought they were breakfast. LOL! Once we figured out how close it was, we went to Skyline Drive & that was awesome! Thankfully we have a digital camera so we snapped away at just about every scenic overlook. Everything was terrific and we wanted to thank you for a wonderful stay. We've been raving about the place since we got back & have had more than a few inquiries about how to book. Hopefully you'll see some new guests soon! Thank you again & we hope to stay with you again in the future.

We celebrated an early Christmas here and had a wonderful & most memorable time! The place had everything we needed to make a home-cooked meal and the hot tub was a real treat! Thanks for the excellent recommendation to try Four and Twenty Blackbirds restaurant - what an amazing meal! We also enjoyed visiting a couple of the wineries. Thanks for keeping such an immaculate, well-cared for, well-stocked place. We'll be back!!!

Thanks for a great time. Lots of nice touches! The Boys loved the biscuits and hiking in the parks. We recommend Griffins Tavern restaurant in Flint Hill, VA and Luray Caverns was amazing too! John took a plane ride out of Winchester airport on a WWII plane, got to actually fly it and a video of his adventure. It was awesome! We'll have to check out the wineries next time. If you're ever up our way give us a call - we'd love to show you around!

Thank you for the wonderful accommodations at HTH #2! We felt like part of the mountainside with a bit of spoiling - with the hot tub. It was so nice to bring our dogs too! AND we got to see the total lunar eclipse from the hot tub!

We had a great time up in your little Chalet. We enjoyed the hot tub, a very relaxing way to celebrate the New Year. We saw some hawks and a few very large white tail deer. Beautiful - and we saw a woodpecker bright and early on our last morning. Our three little dogs loved the wilderness and got very muddy. They loved every minute of it and we loved having them with us!

We had a fantastic Thanksgiving here. As others have said, the hot tub was fantastic! The cabin is very comfortable and the furthest we ventured was to the deck. We enjoyed every minute. Quite unusual in our family to have a peaceful holiday as we are usually the entertainers. Not this year! I loved being alone with my husband and my girls! Thank you!!!

What a great place. I really enjoyed the bright, cheery décor and I loved the hot tub. There was even a crescent moon and sky full of stars - great planning! My husband and I spent two days hiking and exploring Shenandoah Park. This was a great place to return in the evening. I would like to return possibly with our dogs the next time. Thanks for relaxing getaway. I really like the loft. Great directions for finding the place and you have added a lot of nice touches here! We saw about 10 deer the first evening!
